uChecker is made by me, Maxim Egorov, an independent developer. These terms apply to your use of the uChecker app and this website. By using uChecker, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
License
uChecker is distributed through the Mac App Store. Because no separate end user license agreement is provided with the app, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies to your use of it.
AI-generated output
uChecker uses language models to check and rewrite text. Generative models can produce output that is inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, or inappropriate. uChecker is a writing aid, not a substitute for your own judgment: you are responsible for reviewing and verifying any result before you rely on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, or other consequential text. It does not provide professional advice.
In-app purchases
uChecker's core features are free. Pro features (such as custom modes and connecting your own model endpoint) are unlocked by a one-time in-app purchase. Purchases are processed and billed by Apple under the App Store's terms; I do not receive your payment details.
Custom endpoints (bring your own key)
If you choose to connect a custom (OpenAI- or Anthropic-compatible) endpoint, the text you check is sent to the third-party service you select, using your own API key, and is subject to that service's terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for your use of, and any fees charged by, that service. I am not a party to that connection and am not responsible for the third-party service.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
uChecker is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or its output. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Apple's Standard EULA or under mandatory consumer protection law.
Trademarks
Apple, Mac, Apple Intelligence, and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. OpenAI and Anthropic are trademarks of their respective owners. uChecker is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
Changes
If these terms change, the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
