App audits & fix sprints · iOS & macOS

Find what is
holding your
app back.

A slow screen. A recurring crash. A release you cannot get out. Start with focused diagnosis, review the wider app, or get a defined fix implemented.

Audits from €350 · implementation from €1,500

Who does the work

An engineer
who ships, too.

I am Maxim Egorov, the engineer behind uAgency. I have spent 12+ years building for Apple platforms, including automotive and financial products. I handle the audit personally.

uNotch and uChecker are my own apps, available on the Mac App Store. They are examples of the work I design, build and maintain.

What we investigate

Start with the part
that needs attention.

A focused audit examines one issue or area. A full app audit reviews all three across agreed key flows. A fix sprint implements a defined improvement. Every engagement starts with clear boundaries.

01

Performance & stability

An interaction that stutters, a crash you cannot pin down, or memory that grows with every screen.

  • SwiftUI updates and main-thread work
  • Memory ownership and lifecycle
  • A reproducible scenario and profiling evidence
02

Architecture & data flow

A feature that is getting harder to change, state that falls out of sync, or dependencies that make testing painful.

  • One feature and its dependencies
  • State, concurrency and persistence boundaries
  • A practical path to a smaller, testable change
03

Release readiness

A release blocked by a specific purchase flow, permission, entitlement or App Store review concern.

  • The affected flow and its configuration
  • Relevant review requirements and disclosures
  • Concrete checks to complete before resubmission

How it works

A short engagement.
Something useful to keep.

  1. Agree on the work.

Send the platform, what needs attention, and what you have already tried. We choose the engagement and agree on scope, access, price and a delivery date before you pay.

  2. Follow the evidence.

Maxim reviews the relevant code and configuration, reproduces the issue where possible, and uses targeted profiling or checks within the agreed scope.

  3. Get a clear handoff.

An audit ends with written findings and a prioritized plan. A fix sprint ends with a pull request, relevant checks and handoff notes. Additional work is agreed separately.

Scope & pricing

The right amount
of help.

Choose a focused investigation, a broader review or implementation. Scope, invoice and delivery date are confirmed before work begins.

01 / Diagnose

Focused app audit

€350Fixed price · agreed scope

Investigate a specific issue or review one selected area of an existing app.

  • Up to 4 hours of investigation
  • Written findings with supporting evidence
  • Next steps ordered by impact and effort
  • One follow-up email to clarify the report

Usually within 3 business days.

Investigation and recommendations for one agreed question. Implementation is separate.

Discuss a focused audit

02 / Review

Full app audit

€950Fixed price · agreed scope

Review architecture, performance risks and release readiness together before your next substantial investment.

  • Architecture, performance and release readiness
  • Up to 12 hours of review and reporting, including the call
  • Prioritized report with risks and recommended changes
  • 60-minute walkthrough of the findings
  • One follow-up email to clarify the report

Usually within 5 business days.

A broad assessment of agreed key flows, with targeted profiling where feasible. Code fixes, exhaustive testing, backend and security audits are separate.

03 / Implement

Fix & ship sprint

From €1,500Final quote after scoping

Turn a known issue into a reviewed code change: a performance fix, a contained refactor or a release-flow repair.

  • A written scope and acceptance criteria
  • Implementation in your existing codebase
  • A pull request with relevant checks and evidence
  • Handoff notes for your team
  • One review round within the agreed scope

Schedule agreed with the scope.

Starts at €1,500. The fixed quote, schedule and acceptance checks are agreed before work begins. New features, wider rewrites and store submission need their own scope.

Discuss a fix sprint

Before we start

A few useful details.

Which engagement should I choose?

The €350 focused audit investigates one issue or selected area. The €950 full app audit reviews architecture, performance and release readiness across agreed key flows. The fix sprint starts at €1,500 and implements a contained change. Describe the situation if you are unsure which fits.

What does a full app audit cover?

One iOS or macOS app, with up to 12 hours across review, reporting and a 60-minute walkthrough. We agree on the key flows and project size first. This is a broad technical assessment with targeted profiling where feasible; exhaustive testing, a security audit, backend review and code fixes are separate.

What access do you need?

Usually a buildable project or read-only repository access, reproduction steps and relevant logs with private data removed. Performance investigations may also need a device recording or profiling trace. We agree on access and confidentiality before sharing code; production credentials are not needed for the initial conversation.

What if the cause is not found in four hours?

The report records what was tested, what the evidence rules out, what remains uncertain and the next useful investigation. A confirmed root cause is not guaranteed. Any additional work requires a new agreement.

Are code fixes included?

The two audits cover investigation and recommendations. The fix sprint includes implementation, a pull request, relevant verification and one review round for the agreed change. It can follow an audit or start from an already understood issue. Store submission and wider rewrites require a separate scope.

How much will a fix sprint cost?

Fix sprints start at €1,500. After reviewing the relevant code, we agree on the specific change, acceptance criteria, fixed quote and schedule. The starting price does not cover an open-ended backlog. Work outside that agreement needs a new quote.

When will the work be delivered?

The usual targets are three business days for a focused audit and five for a full app audit, once the scope is agreed and access is working. A fix sprint has its own schedule. Availability and the actual delivery date are confirmed before payment.

Do you work with UIKit and older projects?

Yes. The scope can include SwiftUI, UIKit, AppKit and the boundaries between them. Send a short description of the stack so we can confirm the fit before starting.

Does a readiness audit guarantee App Store approval?

Apple makes the review decision. The audit examines the agreed release concern and recommends changes or verification steps; it cannot guarantee approval.

What is getting in the way?

Tell me which app you are working on, what needs attention and what you have already tried. We will choose a suitable engagement and agree on the scope before starting.
