The space above your keyboard, put to work.

uNotch turns the notch itself into a panel: today's and tomorrow's events with a Join button for whatever meeting service they use, a live countdown in the menu bar, and a swipe away, a set of other pages: System, Months, Weather, Pomodoro, Timer, Stopwatch, Clipboard, Folder, Shelf and Color Picker. It reads your calendar locally and asks for nothing else unless you press something first. On a Mac without a notch, the same panel sits as a pill under the menu bar.

// features

What it actually does.

One-tap Join, whatever you use

Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Telemost, Whereby, Jitsi and more. When an event carries a recognizable meeting link, uNotch shows a Join button that opens it in your chosen browser, same as clicking the link yourself.

Never lose track of what's next

A live countdown to your next event and configurable reminders sit right in the menu bar, so you don't have to open the notch just to check the time.

More than a calendar

Swipe past Calendar to System, Months, Weather, Pomodoro, Timer, Stopwatch, Clipboard, Folder, Shelf and Color Picker. Switch any page off in Settings if you'd rather not see it.

Works on any Mac

No physical notch, no problem: the same panel sits as a pill docked under the menu bar, with the same pages and the same behavior.

Private by design

Your calendar, files, clipboard and picked colors are read and rendered locally, and there's no uNotch server for any of it to go to. The one exception is Weather, which needs Premium and a city you have chosen: picking that city sends what you type to Apple's MapKit, and the city itself then goes to Apple's WeatherKit for a forecast. Both go straight to Apple, and nothing else leaves at all.

Most of it free, forever

Four pages can sit on the notch at once without paying anything. Premium lifts that cap and adds the menu-bar layer, Clipboard, Folder, Shelf, Months and Weather.

// pricing

Free pages, and a Premium layer.

Calendar, System, Pomodoro, Timer, Stopwatch and Color Picker are free and stay free, up to four of them on the notch at once. uNotch Premium lifts that limit and unlocks Clipboard, Folder, Shelf, Months and Weather; the System page's Keep Awake toggle and its network, free-disk and battery-health line; and uNotch's own menu-bar readouts: CPU, memory, free disk space, today's high and low temperature, the Pomodoro, Timer and Stopwatch displays, and a custom menu-bar icon of your own. Premium is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. Both plans unlock the same features while the subscription is active, and Apple handles the billing. Lifetime is no longer sold; earlier lifetime purchases remain valid and can be restored in Settings.

// requirements

What it needs.

  • → macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.
  • → Calendar access (via Apple's EventKit) to show events, countdowns and reminders. macOS only asks after you press a button, never on its own.
  • → The Folder page needs no permission dialog: you pick a folder yourself in a standard open panel, and that pick is what gives uNotch access.
