Six widgets, all free

Clock, Date, Battery, System, Network and Timer are free in any number. Two clocks and three timers is a perfectly good desktop.

Snaps into place

Drag a widget anywhere and it snaps to a grid and to its neighbours, remembering its spot per display so your layout survives a reboot.

Real readings, straight from your Mac

Charge level, processor and memory load, free disk space, and upload and download throughput, all read through macOS's own local APIs, shown and then discarded.

Built not to slow you down

A widget covered by another window stops redrawing until it's visible again, and a still desktop, where nothing is changing, draws nothing at all.

Your readings stay local

There's no uWidgets server. The only connection the app ever makes is to Apple, to sell or restore Pro. Every reading stays right where it was taken.

Two more sizes and three more themes, never the widgets themselves, unlocked by a monthly or yearly subscription.

All six widgets are free and stay free, in any number, in the medium size, with the Clear and Graphite themes. uWidgets Pro adds two more sizes and three more themes (Frosted, Paper and Accent) and nothing else; it never gates a widget itself. Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly, and the yearly one starts with a free trial; both unlock exactly the same thing. Apple processes and bills every purchase; we never see your payment details.

  • macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later.
  • Notifications permission, asked only the first time you start a timer, so it can tell you when the countdown finishes. Nothing else in the app needs a permission.
